Frequently Asked Questions

  • When do applications open?

  • Can all majors apply?

Yes. All majors are welcome to apply. You do not need to receive credit from your academic institution to complete the program.

  • Can high school students with Dual Enrollment apply?

No. You must complete at least one semester of college credits post high school graduation.

  • Is there a Summer program?

There is currently not a Summer offering for first time participants.

  • What happens if you decline your offer?

If you decline your offer properly, your chances of getting in a second time will not be hurt. You can only apply once an application season, and you will need to reapply and re-interview for consideration again.

  • What if you apply for a PI and a DCP at the same time?

You are welcome to apply to both. If you get accepted for a DCP before you receive acceptance for your PI, your PI will be considered a promotion, and you will still be able to receive an offer.

  • What happens if I am not accepted?

Try, Try Again! You can apply for the Disney College Program once an application season.

  • I was accepted, but not for a role I want. Can I change my role?

Once you accept your role, you are not able to get your role reversed. Be sure to only express interest in roles during your interview that you would be willing to participate in.

  • What will my schedule be like?

Your schedule will change every week! Depending on time of year, attendance, and availability, you may work 35 hours one week, and 55 the next. You may also need to work 6 days out of the week, if your location requires it.

  • Will I lose my financial aid?

Talk to the Financial Aid Office to get the best idea of what participating in the program could mean for you. Keep in mind, your financial aid will depend on the credit you receive for the program, or the classes you take.

  • I am not bringing a vehicle. How do I get to work?

If you live at one of Disney's sponsored housing complexes, you will have access to a network of buses that take you to and from work, the parks, and the grocery store. The fees for the transportation options is included in your weekly rent.

  • I am debating bringing my car. Is it a need?

vehicle is totally not a need on a Disney College Program. If you are a Professional Intern, you will need to provide your own transportation. The bus system is tricky to maneuver and students who utilize the buses have to leave almost two hours before work to ensure a timely arrival to work. The buses also only take you to the U.S. Post Office, Publix, and Walmart. If your car can make it to Florida and back, I would suggest bringing a car.
